Yesterday I started having an issue with my Canon 1Dx Mark II and 400mm f/2.8 IS II - When the lens is attached to my camera, nearly all buttons stop working, including review, menu buttons, set, AF-On, etc. The only buttons/dials that work are the shutter button, aperture and shutter speed dials (back and top dials), and joystick.

I have recently purchased an RF 100-500 lens and am very happy with its performance so far. However, the tripod ring does not seem to tighten sufficiently to prevent the lens/camera from rotating. Symptom: When in AV/Tv/P/M/B/C1/C2 the Menu and Image review buttons are unresponsive. When in SCN/CA/A the camera functions normally and Menu / Image review are accessible. Troubleshooting: Upgrading the firmware (was on 1.3 and upgraded to 1.4). Cleaning the camera. Camera has been working without issue. I used it this morning no problems, then went to sons footy match and when using it then realised non of the buttons are working. So Custom Buttons, playback, menu etc, I could still take photos but could not change anything.
